| There can be changes and it is important that the draw is checked by all managers every Thursday.
Please check the fixtures and their location before each game.
| |
| We thank everyone for their cooperation with the previous requirements and understand the sacrifice you have made for the good of the game and the community generally.
We are pleased that the State Government has announced a relaxation of the spectator restrictions for Community Sport which means that the previous limit of one parent no longer applies, and that spectators can attend adult matches again.
However, the following still applies:
To minimise spectator numbers it is encouraged that non-essential persons do not attend – especially those considered in high-risk categories.
Spectators and players must also leave the venue immediately their match is finished and not socialise at the venue.
Clubs must still comply with the Public Health Order and their Covid Safety Plans
Physical distancing rules must be observed – including in indoor spaces such as changerooms
Spectators must keep well clear of the technical area and spectators are to be positioned on the opposite side of the field to the technical area
A max of 500 people per venue applies – as a result of this, we are reviewing the schedule for Grand Final days to spread out the matches and will advise the new schedule asap
All of the previous safe practices such as not sharing water bottles, shaking hands etc still apply and anyone feeling unwell or has visited Victoria in the last 14 days must not attend matches or training.
Avoid carpools or bus travel with people from different household groups where possible. (If unavoidable then consider wearing face masks and ensure social distancing)

| Following an announcement during the week from the NSW Chief Health Officer, additional requirements for community sport have come into force immediately for at least the next 6 weeks.
Attached is a statement from State Sporting Organisation CEOs along with FAQs from NSW Office of Sport
These additional requirements have come about as Community Sport is under the spotlight – implementation of Covid Safety plans is critical as is cooperation with NSW Health recommendations
- NWSF competitions are unaffected, as the FAQs confirm that competitions within an Association boundary can continue even across multiple LGAs
However, to ensurethat we can complete our season, to observe our broader social responsibilities to the community and to comply with NSW Health recommendations and the Public Health Orders, from this weekend the following applies:
- Face-to-face social activities are not permitted (e.g. post-training and post-match group dinners and sideline drinks, award ceremonies, end-of-season social gatherings)
- Avoid carpools or bus travel with people from different household groups where possible. (If unavoidable then consider wearing face masks and ensure social distancing) ; and
- Spectators are limited to one parent only for minis and youth age groups, where a child requires parental supervision. If a parent is attending as a coach or manager then this counts as the one parent and the other parent cannot attend.
- To be clear, this means no spectators are permitted at adult matches (U21 and above).
We urge clubs to ensure their teams leave the venue immediately after their match and not loiter to socialise on the sideline. This includes PL & SL reserve grade teams who are to be told to leave the venue unless they are playing in the first grade match.
The existing social distancing and hygiene requirements still apply, and the above will be communicated directly to participants before this weekend.
We understand this additional responsibility this creates for clubs and your volunteers, but in the interests of getting our season completed, some short-term pain over the remaining weeks will ensure we can achieve this.
It is also understood that enforcing the no spectator rule will be problematic, but we ask clubs to communicate to their teams, players and parents to ensure that at least, their own club complies.

At the NWSWF AGM PennoFC received a special mention in that the Chair announced that in the history of the award, she cannot remember a club going through the whole season with not a single red, yellow, fine or anything.
So very impressive! ⚽️ Congratulations Ladies 🎉 Second year running too! 💖 | |

Life Membership - Gladesville Hornsby Football Association (GHFA) - Grahame Bateman
In a fitting end to an era, following the merger of GHFA with North West Sydney Women’s Football Association (“NWSWFA”), Grahame Bateman (“GB”) was awarded life membership of GHFA in recognition of his contribution to all things Penno FC, the greater GHFA and NWSWFA and our broader Pennant Hills community.
Peter Quessy spoke on behalf of Penno FC as the nominator at last night’s Final GHFA, thanking GHFA and those involved for their service to our football community, as well as highlighting GB’s many achievements.

I am sure that you will all agree that Grahame is a most worthy recipient of GHFA Life membership, particularly as we transition from GHFA to NWSF.
When you next see Grahame, please congratulate him on receiving this prestigious recognition within our broader footballing community.

| 7 Sep 19 - Life membership - Tim House
At our 2019 Presentation Day, on 7 September, we announced the award of new life membership.
Our newest life-member arrived in Pennant Hills in 2003; and is another example of one of our Penno Juniors that may always have seemed destined for our Premier League squad, first playing for Premier League in 2005.
He first played for Penno in the U10-3s in 2004. By his mid-late teens, he was playing Division 1 football and would soon capture the attention of Premier League, as a fleet-footed left-back with blistering pace.
He is a committed Christian and was leading his Church’s Beach Mission on the South Coast last Christmas when on the first day while surfing, he broke a number of vertebrae.
Last week, he came home from rehab after his family home in Pennant Hills was converted to accommodate his needs.
We were extremely delighted, and I know that he was too, that he was able to join us at our recent Back to Penno Day and toss the coin for the First-Grade game. It was a small step, but an important step of returning to his and our community.
As a Club Like No Other – we wanted to do something to ensure that he remains a strong part of our football community. Conferring Life-Membership is a small thing that we can do to ensure that he remains a part of our Club well into the future.
Please join me in congratulating Tim House on becoming the newest life-member of Pennant Hills Football Club.
If you see Tim around, please stop and say hello.
Thank-you.
Tony Macko President - Pennant Hills FC
